Terence, Ryan and Kira; all current Chinese Battle Abbey School Boarding students, visited Stonegate Primary School’s Year 1 and 2 classes to give a first-hand insight in to the customs and traditions of Chinese New Year. It was clear from the quality of the questions posed by the Stonegate children that they had been inspired by their teaching this term, but our boarders fielded all the questions brilliantly. Stonegate Head teacher Jon Elms said ‘I have just popped into the class and the children were absolutely buzzing with the facts they have learnt. This was a great shared learning experience and I am delighted we could arrange this with Battle Abbey. A big thanks to Terrance, Ryan, Kira, and Head of Boarding Mr Mercer, for their time.’
