Sophia C and Mia G (Year 8) entered the Eventers Challenge at Golden Cross on Sunday. (The BAS team has already qualified for the 80-85cm so they entered the 70-75cm). The Eventers Challenge is tricky because it is run under ‘optimum time’ that means whoever gets a clear round closest to the optimum time wins, regardless of whether it is faster or slower. The really difficult part is no one is told the optimum time before the class so it’s a bit of a guessing game to know what speed to ride at! Both Mia and Sophia rode beautiful clear rounds with Mia finishing in 3rd place and qualifying for the finals in May at Hickstead as a result, Sophia finished 9th but still rode a super clear round!
