Our Prep school swim team once again showed their dominance at National level. The team made up of Elodie, Phoebe, Ishaan and Felix travelled to Sheffield and competed at the English schools’ National finals held at the prestigious Ponds Forge international sports centre. The team had qualified for the finals after becoming county champions and regional gold and silver winners. The team performed well in the heats and qualified for both the Medley Relay and freestyle finals. The finals were very tense, tight races, really pitting the best against the best. We are delighted to report that our team rose to the occasion and came away with a very impressive 2nd in the freestyle and 5th in the medley once again ranking Battle Abbey in the top 10 in the country. We are incredibly proud of this team. Its not just how accomplished in the pool they are, their general conduct and behaviour at events and their amazing commitment to their swimming has made them a credit to the school. We would also like to thank their families for the massive levels of support they have given the team.
