Year 6 at the British Museum

This Wednesday, Year 6 went on an amazing trip to The British Museum in London to look at the Benin Bronzes held there. This was part of their current History topic, where they are gathering information to debate the status of these contested objects.
We took the train, walking the short distance between the station and the museums, taking in all the sights of London that we could on our way. The museum itself was stunning, as all those who have ever visited will know, filled with legendary artefacts from every corner of the globe – the only downside to the trip was that we had to miss out on seeing it all!
Year 6 were excellent ambassadors for the school, taking notes, learning about new cultures and displaying great manners. We hope that this train trip will be just the first of many, as we make the most of the ease, accessibility and low environmental impact to open up all of the capital’s many attractions to us.
