‘We honestly thought our wedding would be a difficult one as we had to balance our parents’ wish of a Chinese wedding and our childhood dream of a castle wedding but it was much easier than we thought with Debbie & Aaron’s help. From the lead up of the event to the actual wedding day, Debbie and Aaron have been extremely helpful, organised and accommodating. Last but not least, you have cleared up everything and packed every props for us to take away – no post wedding fuss at all!

‘We can’t begin to thank you all enough for all your hard work on what was a perfect day! Everyone has had nothing but praise for how everything ran on the day. From the food to the overall running, it was flawless. The food was amazing and we have heard nothing but multiple compliments for it. My brother who is the one of the fussiest eaters I know, finished it all! His only complaint was that the portions were too big! All the staff were approachable and engaging with our guests, again I’ve heard nothing but praise for you all! You were all so calm and made the day feel relaxed because of this we were able to enjoy our day even more. We’ve had a few of our guests say that it was the best wedding they had ever been too. Debbie, from the moment we booked our wedding you have been amazing. When we came to look at Battle Abbey we were worried that it would be too posh for us! You were welcoming and down to earth, this was one of the reasons we booked this venue. Nothing we asked was too much and you have met our every need for the day. You’re quick responses to queries and stayed in contact with us throughout the process helped keep us on track and ultimately let us have the amazing day that we had. ‘We had a number of venues to look at but once we saw Battle Abbey School, we fell in love with the venue and what it has to offer. The venue sells itself and doesn’t need to be overdressed. The Abbey and the grounds are spectacular, the photo opportunities endless. Our guests reaction to the venue was priceless, we had provided the details (they will have googled) but it doesn’t prepare you for the beauty of the venue. We felt so at ease following our meeting with Debbie, who was clearly very experienced and could address every query rapidly. Debbie’s kindness, support and flexibility is invaluable, she is such an asset to Battle Abbey School and great fun too. Debbie and her incredible team had everything in hand on the day. The team were all so helpful and friendly, they went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect day. It ran so smoothly and flowed so well, we thoroughly enjoyed our special day without any added pressure. All our guests were made to feel so valued and welcome. We had so many comments on the venue and the quality of the food, which was delicious and the friendly staff. The bar was well stocked. We had all our requests met and everything we wanted for our perfect day’.

Of course the place is beautiful, with a happy feel about it, but you and your staff were so efficient, cheerful and reassuring that it really helped everyone to relax and enjoy everything. You obviously have a pride in the Abbey and inspire your helpers – I can’t believe how immaculate everything was on the morning of the wedding, and then on the Sunday when you were preparing for the concert. “Battle Abbey was our first (and only) choice for our wedding venue, as Chris attended preschool there and the wedding breakfast being in a library was ideal. The venue is beautiful with a really dramatic visual impact for guests and definitely represents value for money. The food was fantastic and plentiful and we had a lot of positive feedback about the pizza in the evening! Debbie was incredibly helpful from our first contact with her, was always friendly and responsive, and during our wedding made our day so easy as she had an answer to every question and had already arranged things we’d forgotten to consider. She was willing to embrace all the little extras we wanted to add to make our day personal. Her and her team ensured we didn’t notice anything being done “behind the scenes” and we could just enjoy the day, relocating candles / flowers etc so we got the best use from everything we’d provided. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue to be married in or better wedding co-ordinator and team to organise the day cheerfully and without any fuss. Thankyou!”
