Battle Abbey School was delighted to welcome current and former pupils, along with their families, to our annual Founders’ Day celebration. The event began with the traditional House Banner parade, followed by a beautiful service held at St. Mary’s Church. This year’s Tribute was delivered by Old Girl Mrs Priscilla Rawlins, who left the School in 1958, sharing heartfelt reflections and memories of her time at Battle Abbey. The day provided a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the School’s rich history, celebrate shared experiences, and appreciate the enduring sense of community that defines Battle Abbey School. Guests returned to the Abbot’s Hall and Library for afternoon tea, where lively conversation and reconnecting with old friends continued. Pupil-led tours of the School followed, sparking nostalgia and admiration among visitors and reminding everyone of what an incredibly special place Battle Abbey School is — across all generations.
