Year 7 students visited Hastings Contemporary Gallery earlier this month to see works by Henry Moore, Sarah Lucas and other well-known artists as part of the exhibition entitled ‘Immortal Apples, Eternal Eggs.’ Students took part in an ‘I Spy’ game around the gallery, had a specially arranged organised tour of the works, and they also created some beautiful hand-made sketchbooks as part of a workshop run by the education officer at the gallery.
They then used their hand-made books to make drawings of the pieces in the gallery. Students will be using their experience in the gallery as part of their work towards the gaining a Bronze level Arts Council Arts award. Hastings Contemporary
