Year 10 have been learning about forces during collisions and how to reduce these forces on the passengers. To put their understanding to the test, they were set a task by Mrs Gatward to design and build a suitable device to keep an egg safe as it was dropped from a 3m height. There were some ‘eggxciting’ designs incorporating bin bag air bags, elastic band seatbelts, crumple zones, springs, helium balloons, bubble wrap, and even oobleck!
Year 10 are pleased to announce that all of the eggs landed safely with no cracks! Eggxcellent work!
