The MFL Society were all treated to La Galette des Rois. The Galette des Rois, or King Cake, is a cake traditionally shared on the 6th January. It celebrates the arrival of the Three Wise Men in Bethlehem. Composed of a puff pastry cake, with a small charm (the fève) hidden inside, it is usually filled with frangipane, a cream made from sweet almonds, butter, eggs and sugar (as we are a nut free school we slightly amended the recipe). The charm was duly dished up with the lucky winner wearing the traditional crown. #lagallettedesrois #MFL
