Battle Abbey’s team took part in the regional round of the junior Cranmer Award again this year at St Mary’s Church Battle. Open to young people from all backgrounds and faiths aged 11 – 18 competitors recite passages of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. We are delighted to announce that Frederica achieved first place in her age category! Hugely impressive as she was up against strong competition. Frederica will now attend the National Final in Nottingham in February. Congratulations to all who took part, all students read beautifully and showed great oracy skills.
