n Wednesday our Senior swim squad travelled to Horsham and competed in the ESSA Sussex secondary team championships. The junior boys and girls teams faced stiff competition from all over Sussex and Surrey. The Junior boys team put in two very determined swims to gain 9th place finishes in both the medley and freestyle relays. An incredible effort for a young team.
The girls team, also known as the awesome foursome, fought hard in the medley relay to secure a 5th place finish.
The big news of the day is the girls 4 x 50m freestyle relay. The awesome foursome put in the swim of a lifetime to secure a first place. Sussex Champions!!
The squads now face a tense wait to see if they have made the Nationals in November. (They will find out at the end of October). Fingers crossed and congratulations to our swimmers and a big thank you to all our wonderful parents/grandparents who came along to support the team, and of course our fabulous swim teacher Miss Govan.
