Many of Battle Abbey School’s excellent facilities are available to hire on a one off or indeed regular basis, or often for extended periods during school holidays. We have hosted meetings, conferences, formal dinners, dances, school proms and theatre summer camps in recent years, and our town location with car park, easy access to local high street amenities and close proximity to Battle train station make it an ideal location for a variety of activates. The school site features sports facilities, meeting spaces, party and conference rooms and even a performance studio, all available at competitive rates.
SWIMMING POOL
Hourly Hire Fee – £73.00
Battle Abbey School Swimming pool is based on Penland Road in Bexhill. The pool is a 25 metre, six lane heated indoor swimming pool of the very highest standards and is uniquely deep for the area being some 2.6m at its deepest and 1m in the shallow end.
The pool features its own dedicated car park and is a stand alone building with its own entrance, office space, separate boys and girls changing rooms with shower and toilet facilities.
The school uses the pool during term time but evenings, holidays and weekends the pool is available to hire and an array of local clubs have regular bookings with us for their swim clubs, training sessions and swimming lessons.

PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE
Hourly Rate – £40.00
The Performing Arts Centre or PAC occupies an elevated area behind the original stable block at the Abbey. An entirely stand-alone unit; the PAC features a small kitchen area or green room, private garden, toilets, break out practice rooms and a main space with a retractable partition that allows the hirer to extend the space considerably, or keep it as two separate rooms.
The floor is sprung so is perfect for dance. There is a lighting booth and costume area. The performing space opens out on to a private enclosed lawn area accessible via French doors, which run the length of the side of the building.
The PAC represents a truly flexible and private space to run any course, camp, workshop or similar. Four sound-proofed music pods are located adjacent to the Performing Arts Center just off the lawn area. These are entirely modular, self-contained, and designed and manufactured locally in Battle. Featuring acoustically absorbent upholstered walls and ceilings they offer a sound transmission reduction of more than 51dBA. Great for break out musical sessions or indeed primal scream therapy!

Battle Abbey School has had the great honour of hosting School Proms and Leavers Balls for a number of local schools in recent years. Many are return customers who come year on year. The Abbey really has that wow factor; The history, the setting and the fantastic catering to really make your event one to remember.
