ALUMNI (INC BAFPA AND DEVELOPMENT)

ALUMNI RELATIONS & DEVELOPMENT OFFICE

A key objective of the School Strategic Plan is for Battle Abbey School to remain one of the best small independent schools in the country, offering academic excellence together with exceptional pastoral care and personal development to its pupils.

The Development Office has been established to support the strategic plan; to continue to develop the facilities and resources of the school to fulfil the key objectives, and to financially support current and future pupils to benefit from an all-round Battle Abbey School education.

Our aim is to bring the former and current Battle Abbey School community together in support and understanding of the school’s present activities, its vision, and the plans for the future.

BATTLE ABBEY FORMER PUPILS’ ASSOCIATION (BAFPA)

School days at Battle Abbey may have come to an end, but this is in fact the beginning of a new chapter, as all of our leavers automatically become members of BAFPA – Battle Abbey Former Pupils’ Association – regardless of whether they are finishing temporary visits from overseas, moving on after GCSEs, or completing their education with A levels, BTechs and the end of Year 13.

BAFPA has two main aims, which are:

  • to keep members in touch with each other; and
  • to keep members in contact with Battle Abbey School

Membership is for life, and free of charge.

If you are a former pupil and would like to search for and contact old friends, or view fantastic photographs, magazines and newsletters from our archives, or to find out about reunions and events, please visit the BAFPA website: https://battleabbey.alumni-online.com/

In addition to the annual Founders’ Day service (always the first Saturday in October), where former pupils and staff are invited back to the Abbey, there are regular decade and year of leaving anniversary reunions, as well as informal reunions taking place in Battle, in London and other areas, and overseas.
