Leadership in focus at Leeford Lodge

Our pupil leadership team for 2026–27 recently took part in an ‘Away Day’ at Leeford Lodge, the School’s Boarding House, where they focused on team building, leadership development and planning for the year ahead.

Each year, our Year 12 pupils have the opportunity to apply for leadership roles that they will take on during Year 13. These include the Guardians (our Student Heads of School), Heads of Houses and Bronzes.

During their time at Leeford Lodge, the pupils worked within their respective leadership teams, taking part in training activities and developing their vision for the next academic year. Their enthusiasm, creativity and commitment were evident throughout the day as they considered how they could make a positive and lasting contribution to school life.

The pupils are determined to leave the School even better than they found it, and they have already developed some exciting ideas. Their plans include a fresh approach to the House Christmas pantomimes, additional support for younger and new pupils during key transition periods, and the creation of new pupil-led societies and clubs.

With such an enthusiastic and forward-thinking group of young people preparing to take the helm, the future of our School community is looking very bright indeed.
