School Choir tour France

The Battle Abbey school choir set off on an exciting trip to France. Our adventure began with a warm welcome at Maîtrise Notre Dame, a French school where we enjoyed life in a French school and tested our language skills. We were lucky enough to be able to explore the Viking ship La Mora, before performing during Mass at the stunning Basilica of Saint Thérèse, followed by a climb up the 233 steps to the top of the magnificent dome for amazing panoramic views.

The trip continued with a visit to the lively markets in Bayeux and a tour of the historic Castle of William the Conqueror. A highlight was the musical soirée at Château Kinnor, where the choir performed for local guests. Our final performance of the trip was at Mont St Michel, where the children’s voices filled the ancient abbey. The journey concluded with a stop in Rouen, rich in history and charm, before a challenging ferry crossing home — ending a memorable trip full of music, friendship, and adventure.
